Sportsman in trouble for taking HGH

HGH

HGH supplements have been used by body builders for a number of years. Short for Human Growth Hormone, some claim that because it is made of a natural substance then it should not be tainted with the same brush as an ‘anabolic steroid’ which can be dangerous. HGH however it considered and treated as a normal anabolic steroid. Body builders began talking about it when a test carried out in the early nineties displayed results that implied that by taking the hormone regularly, not only does your fatty tissue decrease but also your lean body mass increases.

Since then a whole variety of products have become available to buy to help with muscle growth and simultaneous fat loss. There are many different ways the hormone can be taken. The products are generally available as a pill or tablet, spray and also as a series of injections. The injections can only be received from a private clinic however as the medical profession never prescribe HGH injections except on very rare occasions when a person is suffering from a genuine hormone deficiency. This makes injections an extremely expensive treatment.

Many doctors and scientists have posed serious questions about the findings of the original test carried out 15 years ago, and have produced alternative theories as to the results. Additionally some have said that the test was not carried out for long enough in order to conclusively prove anything, nor to examine the long term effects. Since then there have been some alarming reports of side effects from diabetes, joint pain to even psychiatric disorders. Nonetheless, people continue to use the substance in their daily lives. Just recently, Ron Hornaday Jr who is the defending NASCAR Craftsman Trucks champion admitted to using the substance although he claimed he couldn’t see that it was having much of an effect!

For sportsmen and body builders, HGH is an unavoidable kind of thing. But they should make sure, not to use it in excess, to avoid the side effects.

HGH is common among athletes but I think it should be restricted to some extent to avoid some problems related.
