Anabolic Steroids vs. HGH prohormones

Anabolic Steroid HGH Comments Off

HGH, a type of prohormones, is also known as the human growth hormone, which is produced by the human brain and it is said that it prevents aging as it stimulates the muscles development and it reduces the body fat. However, the natural production of HGH decreases as we get older and merely stops once we hit the age of 30.

The anabolic steroids are invasive substances which develop the masculine characteristics, as their effects look like those of the male hormones, the testosterone and dihydrotestosterone. Thereby, the body mass is increased, the vocal chords are growing, so is the body hair. Thus, we may say that the anabolic steroids have both anabolic and androgenic effects, because the male characteristics are expanded. The use of supplementary HGH is completely legal, as no side effects are yet discovered. On the contrary, the use of the anabolic steroids is prohibited because their side effects include high blood pressure and cholesterol level, prostate cancer or liver cancer. In national or international sports competitions, the athletes can use HGH supplements, but they are disqualified if they are detected with anabolic steroids.

While there are obvious differences between the anabolic steroids and the HGH prohormones, they are both used in the medical field. The anabolic steroids are used to increase the appetite and the body mass, especially for anemic children, but also for stimulating the growth and the spinal cord. HGH prohormones are also used to enhance the growth, both physically and mentally. These two substances, the anabolic steroids and the HGH prohormones, are different and yet they have so much in common. One is banned, the other one is worshiped, but both have the power to make the life so much easier for the sick ones.
